Movie Marathon: SAW

Life is full of contradiction. Some kill to be alive while others waste their life as living dead. SAW movies reflect this notion. An avengeance of the man who was given his exact day and time to die. The common denomination of these sequels is that without love life is just living like a zombie: null and blank, unhappy. The question is: Is love a consequence or a manifestation of happiness?

SAW 1 is a story of a dedicated and successful doctor who loves his family. The confusion arises when his wife asked him if he is indeed happy. Moreover, his unconscious neglect of his daughter which could have warned him of the crime to happen adds to the reasons why the villain chose him to be the victim.

As he played the game orchestrated by the villain, he discovered that all leads to his infidelity. The people around him, in one way or another became the victims of his unhappy state due to guilt, fell as prey and became the perpetrator of the dangerous and violent game. Will he save the life of the man who is, he thought, giving his wife the pictures that prove his infidelity? Or kill himself and save his family? Can he trust this man? Will this man trust him? In the end the lesson of trust and honesty will be learned.

SAW 2
...to be continued
